Being Tourists

Well, after our long arduous day with Ella that resulted in immediate beers on the couch (see last post), we have had several wonderful days exploring the city! We are feeling a little blogging back up, so we'll try and do our best to catch up here. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? Here are several. Here we are arriving in the city and headed to the botanical gardens. BEAUTIFUL. STUNNING. We wandered for hours - it's about 75 acres in total I think.

Ella spent about six hours in this front pack and thank goodness is taking naps in them too!

Walking from the botanical gardens to the waterfront, there are gorgeous views of the city, the Harbor Bridge, the opera house, ferries coming in and out....

Here we are sitting on a viewpoint chair called "Mrs. Macquarrie's Chair", and getting a quick family shot with the bridge view.... not the best picture of us but at least we are all in the shot!

Continuing on our journey we came to the Circular Quay - an amazing harbor where you can take boats across to various beaches and attractions.

Finishing off with lunch at the Lord Nelson pub....one of Sydney's oldest and best.

Here is a traditional meat pie meal...mmm....
