Happy Fall - Pumpkin time

We are finally getting settled into our new house.  For those of you who don't know, we moved about a month ago.  We are now living in SW Portland near some dear friends of ours.  We love our new house, its locations, and the near by trampoline and "tree fort" (more on all of this in a future post), but also miss so much that we loved about Northeast Portland.

Anyhow, with most of the boxes unpacked it was time to finally have a good family weekend!!  What better way to do that in the fall than a trip to the pumpkin patch.  Our new place is just a stone's throw away from a dozen or so such farms.

We started of course with PUMPKINS!!

 Lots and lots of pumpkins!

While both girls loved the pumpkins, there were other things on their minds...

Ella found what she was looking for quickly....Ponies!!

Addy, was a little easier to please...She was happy to watch and...

eat POPCORN!!!  We then went to the hay maze.
Mom and Ella had fun with the maze and slide...Addy was content with her...

POPCORN...(Notice how quickly the bag is getting smaller)
What Pumpkin patch would be complete without, FACE PAINTING!

And what would be better than Face Paint and Ponies mixed together!!

And of course, more...
We all had a blast!  Thank you Lee Farms!!

Love ya all!!

Daddy and the Kids

Amy went away to a wedding a few weeks back and left Jason alone with the kids for three days....I know, scary!  The good news is that everyone survived and Amy had a great time with friends at the wedding!!!

The weekend was filled with fun and excitement.  While Ella was a school, Addy and Daddy had fun at the park.  Addy loves the swings these days.

The rest of the day was filled with playing with friends at the new "Tree Fort" near our new house.

Day 2:  Why not push Daddy's parenting boundaries and go to the coast.  We all had a blast playing in the sand, water, and eating candy...

And weekend with Daddy would be complete without ice cream and a movie in bed.  We all had a blast!

Love ya all!

Rotavirus

Rotavirus hit us.  It started with Ella and Gwynn Saturday night and Amy and Jason on Sunday night.  Luckily, little Addy had been vaccinated.  Unluckily, she was teething.  We now have a new appreciate for parents that have been sick while having kids...we also have a new appreciate for Rotavirus.

We did find a strong moment to celebrate Jason's Birthday.

Mom and Dad time

As we all know, mom and dad need a break every once in awhile.  We love our kids dearly, but we haven't been away from them for more than 24 hours in over a year and a half.  In our first, lengthy (3 days, 2 nights) time away from our kids, we went away to McMinnville, OR.  It was everything we hoped it could be.  We did some hiking, drank some good wine, had some amazing food, and relaxed.  It was heavenly.  Here are some shots from our little vacation.

We started with a hike and a great breakfast at Mother's Bistro.

We then stopped by some wineries on the way.

And then found our wonderful temporary residence.

To then have a nice relaxing weekend.

Thank you Mike and Lisa for watching the kids!  We had a blast!

Love ya all!

Dinner...Feed me..

Some of you may know this, but if you don't...Addy is an eater.  All days start with her first words being Mama and second is PAA for pouch.  Pouches are these amazing inventions that are veggies and fruit pureed into these self serve pouches.  We try to not only feed her pouches so at times we actually feed her real, cooked food.  When that happens, watch out.  See below...

The first thing is to get her in "the chair" and try to appease her with something...
 She is not appeased..

Food.  I can almost reach it.  Give me it...

Awe.  Yes. Real Food.

Ok. That was good, but where is the rest.

I can almost reach it.

Hey.  That was a cheeseburger, large pizza and whole banana, but where is the rest.

Awe. I think I am going to make it.

Now I am starting to feel sleepy.

Very sleepy, but this green bean is so interesting.

And the best way to finish a good meal is with a good "bohk".  The next word we hear in the morning after food related words.

Love ya all!
