Check out this pitiful little video of Ella. Oh, she looks so miserable.....for about a week we had a sick little toddler. She had a fever for several days - a fairly high one that spiked up to 105/106 at one point. And then she had the viral rash that you see above. Her poor little eyelids were swollen, and the rash looked even worse than you see here. We felt so bad for her. I think it was either the Roseola virus (a common virus you get before the age of 3), or one of Roseola's close cousins.
Even though this video is a little hard to watch because of the rash, I really wanted to remember this time becuase she is becoming more and more verbal, and we LOVE how she says her words. Her absolute favorite word right now is "bubble", and about 10 times a day she asks to go wash her hands because she gets to use some foamy soap that makes bubbles. Also, we've started putting bubbles in her bath before bed - she just races up to the tub each night eager to get to the bubbles. :)
And a few more pictures of our sweet rashy girl........and her clearly concerned mother....

Oh Ella. So glad you are feeling better. Looks like a rough time for you and your mama! Let's play soon!
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Isaac was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at 19 months. No matter what whenever anybody says 19 months that's where my brain goes. I am so glad she'd doing better, having ill kiddos is not fun at all - but she's still a major cutie ;)
ReplyDeleteThat part where she "smiles for the camera" is ADORABLE!! Also, she is clearly her mother's daughter, with her love of bath time :) Miss you guys so much!!!
