Oh, Baby Adelyn ....We can't get enough of you!!  You're so sweet and cuddly, and you light up with Joy - your middle name is PERFECT for you.  You're 4 months old and sleeping like a champ, rolling over all cutely :)  and you're sooooo CHUBBY.  We love your chub!  You have a beautiful, easy-going way about you.  Here are a few pictures I've snapped over the past months with my iphone....

 Ella LOVES being a big sister.  She makes up songs for Adelyn with lines such as "you're my favorite baby, I love you to the moon, I live only to make you happy, you're my best baby, I love you even when you cry"

 Daddy LOVES his girls.  He wishes every day was Saturday so he could be with us all the time.

Ok, FOUR MONTHS later, I sit down and see that I never published these.  Clearly, life has been busy.  And Fun.  Adelyn is such a Joy.  She is easy to smile, loves to giggle, and her eyes light up when you look at her.  She has been a DELIGHT.  These pictures now seem like so long ago...

Welcome Adelyn Joy!!

Adelyn Joy Lacey came into our lives at 7:58am, December 14th, and our world has been sweeter ever since.  Truly, she is a JOY, and she has made life fuller, richer, and sweeter.  

I was incredibly nervous the morning of the c-section - nervous both about the surgery itself and about adding an unknown variable to our family.  But the moment Adelyn came out of me, I loved her just as deeply as I love Ella, and all else faded.  It was so fun to see her across the room and I could tell she looked just like her big sister.  She cried, as newborns should, and then once they brought her to me and placed our cheeks together, this darling girl stopped crying immediately.  We love each other.  :)

4 days in the hospital were great, and we were happy to head home with our new baby...

And this is just heart melting.  Ella and Daddy bringing Adelyn home for the first time.  Ella takes her big sister role seriously, and she is GOOD at it.  A very good helper.

Adelyn is 2 weeks old now, and she had a doctor appointment and she is thriving.  She is 20 3/4 inches (90th%), 7lbs 14oz (a little over 50th %), and her head was a little over 50th% also.  She has been nursing well, and has been a very easy baby, except for that she wants to be held ALL the time, which we do. :)  Welcome to the family, Adelyn!
